President
Betsy has been in the employee benefits arena for over 30 years. In 2004, she began her association with Navigation Financial Group as a resource for their clients with employee benefits needs. In 2009, she opened Betsy S. Vascil & Associates, while still maintaining her association with Navigation Financial Group.
Betsy has extensive experience with both the broker and carrier sides of the employee benefits section of the insurance industry. After receiving her BS in education from Southwestern University in 1982, she became a Texas General Lines Agent. She has a proven track record in effectively evaluating customers’ benefit programs and strategizing with clients to develop a package that meets their multi-faceted needs. With Betsy as your agent, you will find that she works hard for her clients. She is committed to providing her clients with effective communication pieces, conducting clear and concise enrollment meetings, providing updates on legislative and compliance changes, settling claim discrepancies, and resolving the myriad complex claims and service issues that are part of a client’s employee benefits programs.
Betsy has been named to the National Association of Health Underwriters Leading Producers Round Table for both 2015 and 2016. She has earned the Small Group Certification for agents in the State of Texas, and has received her Group Benefits Associates designation from The International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans and The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania. This is a specialty designation that focuses on healthcare and other group benefits. Currently, she is completing an eight course program to receive the designation of a Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), which is recognized as the highest level of professionalism and is highly respected in the benefit community. It signifies an individual is committed to their industry and has also taken the steps to differentiate themselves from other brokers.
Betsy lives in Frisco with her husband, John. They have three grown boys, one of them still in college attending the University of Oklahoma. She enjoys being active in her community and her church, and she and her husband love going up to OU for football and basketball games.
